I'll be posting photos of kids all this week to restart the photoblog after the distractions of moving. This little guy is my cousin's baby, Cole. I took this at a Fourth of July gathering. My daughter is certain he's the cutest baby to have lived; she's probably not far off. If I'm not mistaken, he's a little sleepy here: less hammy, more daze.
Camera Nerdery: The Leica-ness. Oh, the Leica-ness. [Canon 1DsIII, Leica Summicron 50, 1/40th, f/4 (maybe?), ISO 250] Visually, I like looking at this photo because of what the slanty afternoon sun coming through the window of the house off the lake does for the subject. Personally, I just like baby Cole. The camera and lens still don't talk to each other about aperture. I've suggested counseling. All manual.
