These particular tiles can be found around the hot tub on top of Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo, where I stayed a few weeks back. I've been active on instagram @mathiasphotos
Photo Nerdery: No current digital camera that I know of has focus points all the way to the edge of the frame, so the only way to get this look is to either crop away the foreground defocus or the focus-recompose two-step (or manually focus). One of the things I like about images like this is the way the highlighted left edge of the tiles becomes spherical the further back it is from the point of exact focus.
